Hunting & Fishing Adventures
In the Arctic, land animals still trek undisturbed by human beings over vast expanses of tundra and taiga. Nunavik lakes, rivers and coastal waters teem with Arctic char, Atlantic salmon, brook trout and lake trout, offering anglers an abundant renewable resource in a natural state. While you fish you may even have an opportunity to observe caribou, muskox, black bears, wolves, foxes, ptarmigan, geese, ducks and various birds of prey.
The region is blessed with an exceptional landscape: trek through the Torngat Mountains. Travel by freighter canoe among icebergs, the fjords of eastern Ungava Bay a backdrop.
Practice sea kayaking along Nunavik's Hudson coast, (a favourite destination for sea kayakers from around the world). Visit Richmond Gulf, an area renowned for its natural beauty; or, the northern Quebec crater, near Kangiqsujuaq equally well known for it's particular features.
Whether your adventure entails catching an Arctic char, dog sledding across a frozen lake, capturing on film the majestic polar bear or hunting the famous Nunavik caribou, one of Nunavik's highly qualified, licensed outfitters can lead you through a most memorable experience.
