Paymaster

Tasks descriptions


- Preparation and transmission of bi-weekly payroll
- Supervise Payroll Agent(s)
- Verification of hiring packages and ensure it meets budgetary requirements
- Monitoring of Synerion time keeping module
- Preparation of salary adjustments which are reviewed by Payroll Manager
- Preparation of ROE, CSST claims, respond to issues as they arise
- Prepare journal entries
- Monthly reconciliation of GL accounts, (bank, tax accounts etc.)
- Prepare averaging of hours bi-annual reconciliation
- Respond to employee and management queries
- Occasional travel to Nunavik

Requirements


- Minimum 5years’ relevant experience
- Technical knowledge :
o Excellent knowledge of payroll with 500+ employees / HR+
o Canadian Payroll Association certification preferred
o Relevant accounting experience necessary
o Ceridian – Insync experience an asset
o Excellent knowledge of MsWindow, MsOffice and Crystal Reports
o Supervisor Experience - Bilingual (English-French) obligatory
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French
- Confidential and discreet
- Flexible and able to deal with challenges in a productive way
- Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines
- Demonstrate prioritization, organization and time management
- Attention to details

Working conditions


Permanent full time position - the work week is Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours.
