Base Manager - Puvirnituq

Tasks descriptions

  • Coordinate and supervise the service offered to the customers, counter agents and cargo, in order to provide an exceptional hassle-free experience;
  • Recruit, supervise and proceed in the evaluation of the personnel;
  • In collaboration with the training department, elaborate a training and development plan  in order to ensure that the knowledge of the employees is constantly up to date;
  • Establish and manage work schedules;
  • Participate in management meetings;
  • Maintain the ground equipment, vehicles, and buildings in good condition for the stations under his responsibility;
  • Develop and maintain an excellent communication with the customers, employees, and other departments within the company;
  • Prepare and manage the budgets of the stations under his responsibility;
  • Manage and handle customer complaints;
  • Follow-up on contracts given to external supplies;
  • Implement ways to improve daily operations;
  • Train assistant base manager;
  • Be a person of resource for your employees;
  • Apply and enforce the policies and procedures contained within the employee manual;
  • Actively participate in the Occupational Health and Safety
 

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in administration or equivalent work experience;
  • Experience in a similar position within the aviation industry (5 years);
  • Possess the aptitude for managing human resources (teamwork management, conflict management, etc.)
  • Excellence aptitude for customer service and HR relations;
  • Professional attitude and behavior (skills for teamwork, autonomy, enthusiasm, interpersonal skills, honesty, versatility, sense of initiative, sense of organization, etc.);
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills;
  • Leadership and the capacity to make decisions, tolerance to stress;
  • Have demonstrated high ethical standards in past employment.
  • Ability to communicate in at least 2 of the following languages: Inuktitut, French, English;
