Chief Pilot - Operations 705 Turboprops

Tasks descriptions

The Chief Pilot reports directly to the Director of Flight Operations.

The responsibilities are:
  • Participate in the company's Safety Management System
  • Applying professional standards to flight crews
  • Developing standard operating procedures
  • Ensuring that all required and approved training programs for flight crews comply with all regulations
  • Issuing directions and advices to flight crew as required
  • Ensuring the operational suitability and requirements of all airports and routes served by the Company
  • Actioning and distribution of Safety Management System reports, Aviation Occurrence Reports and other relevant reports
  • Supervising all flight crews
  • Performing the duties outlined in the Flight Operations Manual and the Air Inuit Personnel Policy and Procedures Manual
  • Performing all other duties assigned by the Director of Flight Operations
 

Requirements

  • Bilingual written and spoken (French/English), Inuktitut (an asset);
  • Possess at least three (3) years of experience on type or similar
  • Aviation management experience or equivalent degree
  • Good knowledge of the procedures relatives to the Standard Operations Manual and CARS
  • Management Ability
  • Meet TC requirements as per CAR’s 725.07 (2) (b)
  • Successfully pass TC-A interview
