Passenger Fares

Air Inuit offers a flexible fare structure to meet the needs of its growing and diverse clientele.

Flex Fare (Y)


Air Inuit Flex Fare is a flexible one-way Economy (Y) class fare.
  • Reservations can be made at any time.
  • Ticketing must be completed within 2 days after reservations are made or on the day of departure, whichever comes first.
  • No fees for changes.
 

Infants/Children’s Fare (YIN/YCH)

 
Our children’s fare is based on the Flex Fare.
  • Infants under 2 years of age travel at no charge. One infant per adult passenger is permitted.
  • Children (2 to 11 years old, inclusively) will be charged 50% of the Flex Fare (YCH fare).
  • Unaccompanied children (5 to 11 years of age, inclusively) will be charged 50% of the Flex Fare plus an unaccompanied minor supervision fee of $50 (plus tax).
 

Senior Citizens Fare (YCD)

 
Seniors 60 years of age and over are entitled to:
  • A discount of 50% of the Flex Fare.
  • Seniors must provide proof of age (driver’s license, Medicare card, passport, birth certificate or other documentation acceptable by the Carrier).
 

Semi-Flex Fare (B1OW)

 
Our Semi-Flex Fare is an Economy (Y) class fare that require advance reservations and ticketing.
  • Reservations must be made at least 1 day prior to departure.
  • Ticketing must be completed within 2 days after reservations are made or on the day of departure, whichever comes first.
  • Waitlist not allowed.
  • Upgrading to Flex Fare is permitted at a cost of $50 (plus tax and fare difference).
  • Changes, cancellations or refunds are permitted at a cost of $50 (plus tax) per direction. 
  • One-way travel permitted.
 

Honeymooners Fare (QHoney)

 
Air Inuit offers a special discounted fare for honeymooners. Travel must originate from a Nunavik community served by Air Inuit and/or Sanikiluaq, La Grande, Sept-Îles and Schefferville.
  • A discount of 75% of the Flex Fare, up to a maximum return fare of $499 per person (plus applicable taxes, fees and surchages).
  • Presentation of a marriage certificate required.
  • Valid for travel within six (6) months of wedding day.
  • Reservations must be confirmed from point of origin to point of destination and return to the point of origin.
  • Does not apply to one-way travel.
  • Ticketing must be completed within 2 days after reservations are made or on the day of departure, whichever comes first.
 

Compassionate Travel Fare

 
Air Inuit offers compassionate travel fare valid to passengers who need to travel in times of bereavement.

Passengers traveling on compassionate fares must present the proper authorization form signed by the Mayor, Band Council Chief or other authorized representative before tickets can be issued. Please contact your local station to make travel arrangements.
 
  • In the event of a death
    A 75% reduction on the regular Flex Fare is applicable to attend funerals.
     
  • In the event of a severe illness
    A 75% reduction on the regular Flex Fare is applicable for immediate family members or a 50% reduction on the regular Flex Fare is applicable to friends or those who are not immediate family members.

Lost tickets and refunds

 
In the event that a ticket is lost or that a flight is cancelled, passengers may obtain a refund, provided they follow Air Inuit procedures.
 
To apply for a refund, simply download, complete and send in our refund request form along with the original ticket(s), if applicable, by one of the following means:
 
By mail to the attention of Refunds or by email.
 
An administrative fee of $25 will be applied for lost tickets.
