Fall 2014

Our First Edition

Air Inuit is proud to introduce the very first edition of its inflight magazine. Aptly named ᐃᓄᐃᑦ meaning INUIT, the new magazine is designed to provide travelers with a quality magazine that showcases Inuit culture, traditions and lifestyle, but also invites readers to learn more about the majestic beauty and charm of Northern Quebec’s picturesque Nunavik region.

A reflection of the Inuit people and the airline that was created to serve them, the new magazine features content about Air Inuit’s growing fleet of aircraft specially equipped for northern operations, as well as the many specialized services it provides to its diverse clientele. Every year, the airline flies some 100,000 passengers to and from Nunavik. The airline also services Sanikiluaq, LaGrande, Quebec’s Côte-Nord, Schefferville and Wabush.

Published four times per year, Inuit will present new and existing businesses, cover sports, arts and crafts, food and entertainment that reveal a constantly evolving, vibrant and distinctive culture. It also features games and a special section dedicated to the Inuktitut language to keep northern travelers of all ages engaged and entertained during and after their flight.

Our first edition features articles on legendary northern aviator, Johnny May, popular Inuit singer-songwriter Elisapie Isaac, photo coverage of a trip down the famed George River, and a piece about the growing popularity of Inuit art on the world stage.
