Notice - Wildfire Activity Near Our La Grande Cargo Base

Air Inuit's Monitoring Team Activated

In progress since

Due to the progression of nearby wildfires in the La Grande area, Air Inuit has activated its monitoring team, as a precautionary measure, to follow the situation and implement the necessary measures as required.

Air Inuit's priorities include:

  • Continuously tracking wildfire activity and potential road closures in cooperation with government authorities.
  • Deploying all necessary efforts to ensure the safety of employees based in La Grande.
Closely monitoring operational conditions, including local jet fuel supply levels and the flow of cargo deliveries by road.
  • Preparing contingency plans to ensure the continued distribution of essential food cargo to Nunavik from alternate bases should a temporary closure of the La Grande cargo base become necessary.
  • Maintaining close cooperation with Nunavik's major organizations and key regional stakeholders.

Service and Operations Update
At this time, cargo and LaGrande scheduled passenger flight operations continue as planned. However, operational adjustments may be made on short notice should conditions change. Passengers affected by any changes to their itinerary will be notified directly.

We thank our customers, partners, and the communities we serve for their understanding.
