Rules Pertaining to the Transportation of Dangerous Goods
Air Inuit adheres to strict regulations concerning the transportation of combustibles, explosives and other dangerous cargo. All items must conform to applicable laws and regulations at the time of shipping. If you are not familiar with the applicable regulations, we suggest you communicate with a dangerous goods shipping consultant.
The following items must be shipped as cargo (subject to certain restrictions), to ensure that these products are handled safely and appropriately.
Medicinal and toiletry articles can be carried on the person in small quantities.
Prohibited Items
Please note that Air Inuit does not accept small lithium battery-powered vehicles in checked baggage or as carry-on items. Small lithium battery-powered vehicles are only accepted as cargo shipments and must be prepared in accordance with the TDG/ICAO/IATA regulations.
Examples of small lithium battery-powered vehicles:
- Gyroscopic or self-balancing boards (hoverboards, balance wheels)
- Electric Bicycles
- Electric Skateboards/Scooters
- Mini-Segways
Restricted Items
Certain restrictions apply to the transport of vehicles and other combustion items. Fuel tanks must be completely emptied before shipment.
Example : ATV, skidoo, chainsaw.
Air Inuit does not accept Dangerous Goods in EXCEPTED QUANTITIES.
