Building Coordinator - Technical Center

Tasks descriptions

Reporting to the Building Manager, the Building Coordinator is primarily responsible for the efficient planning, administration and coordination of the general maintenance of the Air Inuit Technical Center in Montreal. This includes revenue and expense budgets and the administration of all relevant contracts and reports.


  • Maintain an inspection and maintenance program relative to the building’s mechanical components and ability to perform minor repairs;
  • Monitor budget for contracts awarded to various subcontractors and follow-up on the quality of their work;
  • Manage various service contracts such as concierge, snow removal, landscaping and building mechanical repairs services, recycling waste and used oils, safety and parking management (visitors and employees);
  • Ensure that services specified in tenant’s leases are fulfilled within set time limits and that the quality of the work complies with their expectations;
  • Develop and produce relevant reports to Management;
  • Ensure emergency safety measures application on airport site;
  • Administrate the LEED Program (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design);
  • Responsible for the emergency plan of the Technical Centre;
  • Perform all other related tasks.


  • Excellent organizational, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills;
  • Self-directed, self-motivated, ability to work autonomously;
  • Capacity to follow up on budget and control project costs;
  • Ability to work with computer software;
  • Bilingual – spoken/written (French and English);
  • College diploma in Administration and/or Building Services Technology or equivalent experience a definite asset;
  • General knowledge in electricity, plumbing, HVAC systems and woodwork;
  • Five (5) years relevant experience;
  • Available to work occasionally outside normal business hours; Available to travel occasionally.

Working conditions

The work week is Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
