Chief Pilot - Operations B-737

Tasks descriptions

  • Participation in the Company’s Safety Management System
  • Apply professional flight crew standards in accordance with the CARs
  • Developing standard operating procedures
  • Ensure that all approved training programs required for flight crews comply with all regulations
  • Issue directives and notices to flight crews as required
  • Ensure the operational suitability and requirements of all airports and routes served by the Company
  • Actioning and distribution of Safety Management System, Aviation Occurrence Report(s) and other pertinent reports
  • Perform the duties outlined in the Flight Operations Manual and the Air Inuit Policy and Procedures Manual
  • Supervising of flight crews
  • Performing all other duties as assigned by the Director of Flight Operations


  • Bilingual written and spoken (French / English), Inuktitut (an asset)
  • Possess at least three (3) years of experience on type or similar
  • Aviation management experience or equivalent degree
  • Good knowledge of the procedures relatives to the Standard Operations Manual and CARS
  • Management ability
  • Meet TC requirements as per CAR’s 725.07 (2) (b)
  • Successfully pass TC-A interview
  • Ability to obtain a TSA clearance
