Manager, Montreal Cargo Station

Tasks descriptions

  • Responsible to support and develop a strong team to achieve the corporate goal of quality cargo services at our Montreal station.
  • Establish the work force schedules.
  • Ensure effective cost management by analyzing our station operations and adapting accordingly.
  • Manage service quality and monitor satisfaction levels of our customers.
  • Participate in annual budget preparation for the station; Setting, evaluating, and meeting and/or exceeding performance targets.
  • Ensure effective customer service through a process oriented approach that delivers reliable and consistent quality service.
  • Establish, monitor and revise policies, procedures and service standards for station operations harmonized to the network.
  • Direct and ensure compliance with established Air Inuit corporate policies, procedures, and standards in accordance with government and airport regulations.
  • Responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developing direct reports.
  • Assign work, set completion dates, review work, and manage performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures and performance management processes.
  • Responsible for the maintaining of the facility and its equipment.
  • Actively contribute in the corporate Safety Management system.
  • This position will require remote accessibility of the Manager via smartphone.

Requirements

  • College diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of cargo logistics supervisory experience including employee management.
  • Good knowledge of Air Cargo regulations.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presentations).
  • Bilingual (French and English). Inuktitut is an asset.
  • Proficient computer skills: Cargo system, Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook).
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to include driving KPIs, employee engagement / team building. Strong ability to develop, coach, train, and mentor staff to success.
  • Knowledge of Cargo management system is an asset.
  • Must be able to obtain a YUL airport RAIC. (Secured Zone Access)

Working conditions

Estimated start date: December 2, 2019.
