Montreal, April 10, 2026 — Air Inuit announces the launch of its own ground operations at Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL), including check-in and ramp services for all its flights at the main terminal.
As of April 10, the company now operates its ground services in Montreal. This marks a full assumption of these activities, allowing Air Inuit to take direct responsibility for service quality, safety, and consistency.
Completed in just 60 days, this deployment represents a major investment, with the hiring and training of 60 new employees in Montreal, along with the acquisition of the equipment and material resources required to support these operations.
“Bringing our ground operations in-house at YUL marks a defining step for Air Inuit. We now hold the destiny of the service we provide in our own hands, from the beginning to the end of the journey. There will be no one else to point to — it’s a commitment we are making to ourselves.”
— Christian Busch, President and Chief Executive Officer, Air Inuit
This evolution enables Air Inuit to strengthen its control over the entire passenger experience and to continue its commitment to delivering high-quality services to its passengers and to the communities of Nunavik.
Air Inuit also wishes to thank its Board of Directors, as well as Pita Aatami, President of the Makivvik Corporation, for his leadership in emphasizing the importance of this transition toward in-house ground services in Montreal.
With this initiative, Air Inuit reaffirms its mission to deliver essential services that keep Nunavik communities connected, with care, commitment, and pride.
